Cover Description: Akira's a normal guy ... well, normal if
you ignore the fact he sometimes forgets there's a world outside of
cyberspace and doesn't always notice that boys and girls really are
different. His life takes a rather dramatic turn one day however when
he ventures outside to buy his machine, and winds up with something
quite a bit more than he bargained for. Her name is Mimi.
To say that Akira isn't terribly experienced when it comes to females
is an understatement, but it's a safe bet that most would be in the
same position as far as this girl's concerned. Mimi's one in a million
... but not the only one like her. The only thing for sure is that Akira's
life just got a whole lot more complicated, and while Mimi is really
trying to help she isn't always going to be able to.
The world's a pretty big place, as Akira is about to discover ... and
not all of it's very nice. Fortunately, he's got the one thing everyone
craves: a loyal companion and partner who will literally do ... anything
to make him happy ... more often than possible. Strangely, it's not
just him: girls (even when they're machines) have needs too, y'know?

I dream of...genie?
It's easy to understand why the second title of Buttobi
CPU is "I Dream of Mimi". Mimi is this hi-tech computer
that looks, feels, and acts exactly like the most beautiful human
girl ever born. Ah, but of course, she has her oddities. She's
also your homegrown genie in a box. She can do anything from fixing
your home, granting near impossible needs, even act as your extremely
obedient love slave. Don't make her jealous, though, because she
can sure pack a nasty punch, especially when she's just newly
upgraded. Sounds familiar? You bet! Except for the computer part
(not to mention the sex), Mimi is definitely like Jeannie of the
1960s American comedy sitcom entitled "I Dream of Jeannie".
I found Buttobi CPU a very entertaining piece of work. Perhaps
it's not only because of Mimi, but also because of the main character
Akira. A 21-year old cute nerd with a heart of gold and the luck
of seven broken mirrors, Mimi couldn't have found a better master
if she tried. His appreciation for "upgrades" kicks
in only during the later episodes, though, so during the first
parts expect a lot of hesitation and virginal blushes from this
adorable innocent.
The hentai aspect is defined mostly by symbolisms. The private
parts are well concealed...sometimes. On other times, the censors
actually miss. This can actually pass for R instead of NC-17,
but I think even those who are totally after hentai sequences
alone can enjoy the sheer hilarity of Buttobi CPU.
