Hentai
with His Head on Fire (07.07.2001)
OH! Can I GM this one?
The censored, not quite so hardcore, sad attempt at storytelling
H-anime is becoming more and more prominent. Why? I dunno.
However I will say some things to give Dragon Pink a little
more merit the say it's just a waste of time and money.
Dragon Pink is about a party of adventurers pulled right
out of an RPG video game or even my tabletop sessions. You've
got the clicheique good looking, sword swinging hero, Santa.
The muscular, soft-hearted barbarian, Bobo. The sexy, spell
throwing mage Pias. Then, just for kicks, you throw in the
literal sex kitten slave Pink. Why? It's an h-anime, what
more do you expect.
Sex is, as always, the staple of such an anime but what makes
this h-anime worth the price of a rental is the comedy. It
really is funny. However, I'm sure you'd have to be an avid
RPG or tabletop player to see the true humor in it. The battles,
enemies, and situations are all very in line with such things.
To start you have the "your party has been convicted
of a crime it didn't commit so go find the real badguy and
clear your name" situation. How many times have we seen
this before? And, as per any h-anime, the female counterparts
of the party get their clothes ripped off/libido's increased.
Fun to be had by all.
Next you have the "oops, we're missing someone"
adventure. Seems our resident asshole, Santa, decided to use
Pink as a line of credit then found her missing the next day
when he went to pay. Naturally they have to rescue her. Evil
goddess demands sex from sacrifices and clothes get ripped
again. Having fun yet? Good, 'cause there's one more.
Lastly you have the old fashioned "hey, there's treasure!
Let's kick everything's ass and loot." Monsters using
naked girls as power and a perverted Naga named Nymphomania
(Squeeze me? Cum again?) make sure the adequit amount of sex/nudity
is tossed in.
So where's the humor? That IS the humor. It's one cliche
after another and it's funny. Okay, the real kicker is when
you find out where Pias gets her magical power. Let me tell
you, I think Bobo likes being used as a Hi-Ether.
