They should've focused more on positions...
I was greatly disappointed because Go Nagai is such a great
name in Japanese animation. The artwork was okay, typical
Go Nagai. But what needed more work is the plot and of course,
it would've been really helpful if the ecchi scenes are more
detailed. It can be forgivable, though, since Kama Sutra looks
really dated. Values were probably more conservative then.
I bet this title has even caused an apoplectic attack on some
really rigid people back when it was first released.
It's the story that I couldn't feel satisfied with. Ryu experiences
all the roller coaster battles of good versus evil...all in
the name of lurve. Of course, he tries to master all 48 positions
along the way, but as I understand it, there are more than
48 positions in the Kama Sutra. I think we were cheated in
this aspect.
I thought there's a love triangle going on and that Ryu has
a loyal heart. Oh, wait... He does have a loyal heart! It's
his little appendage down there that seems far from it. I
didn't like the ending. It was fast and short and made me
think, "That was it???" If I weren't really tired
from work that day I could probably muster some sort of female
anger...
All I can say is, if they couldn't improve the story flow/transition,
they could have at least given more detail into the sexual positions.
