I want more!
Just when I thought I was going to be traumatized by yet another
post-Y2K hentai anime, things spin around. I'm certainly glad
to find that My Life As
isn't as sadistic as its
contemporaries. This doesn't mean that My Life As
Stage
1 - Chicken is lacking when it comes to perversion, though.
On the contrary, it has some quirks that might scare both
men and women alike.
What do you expect to see when you indulge yourself in an
orgy? With so much female flesh around, you can't help but
make use of other orificies. Yes, folks. There's anal sex,
both for the protagonist Yasunari and his female partners.
The women, for some strange reason, also have this fixation
with his anus so they just stick fingers into it when they
feel hot. I'm not a fan of anal sex, but it's nice to know
that both boys and girls are getting equal treatment here.
On top of that, the accompanying sexual dialogues are so outrageous,
I found myself immersed in peals of laughter. To quote from
Chie: "No fisting! I don't...don't want to have a
loose pussy!" Good gravy! Now that was a hoot!
As you can gauge from the summary, both Fumi and Rino are
veritable dominators. Not that I can see the protagonist complaining.
He looks to be enjoying his new life with his masters. They
pamper themselves by using their feet on his phallus; or make
him pretend that he's a girl; or turn his cock into the perfect
sponge for bathing purposes. Chie, the third master, is the
most docile of the lot, and I suspect that Yasunari has a
crush on the pretty chit. Like Yasunari, Chie gets the brunt
of Fumi and Rino's pranks, which is perhaps the reason why
Yasunori feels closest to her. Ah, that's one more aspect
that I found endearing and sweet. Can I have somebody like
Yasunari? The kid is just so dang cute! I must admit that
watching them all strut their "athletic abilities"
didn't really seem sexually stimulating, but I found myself
in a heap of giggles. This seems really fun!
Then there's Tomoyasu and his steamy scene with Serina. While
totally unnecessary, because the anime can survive without
it, their moment just tickles the right amount of curiosity
in me. I'm really looking forward to seeing more of them,
if ever My Life As
releases more episodes.
The art and animation are so-so. Well, they're digitally
remastered, and I've never appreciated digital animation in
hentai. Low budget digital productions usually come up with
rather awkward motions and such is the case with My Life
As
The plotread synopsis aboveis exceedingly
amusing. While quite shallow for a regular anime, it isn't
unbelievably stupid or laden with plot holes that characterize
many hentai titles. It's just basically there to bring you
lighthearted entertainment.
Since NuTech licensed the Region 1 DVD, expect porn stars
to do the English dubbingunless you can be as torturous
as I am in buying original Region 2 DVDs. Aurora Snow and
Brittany Andrews did a pretty good job, though, so I guess
porn actresses are starting to get the hang of doing voice-overs
for anime. Of course, I watched the Japanese dubbed/English
subbed version and I didn't see much of a difference. Other
R1 DVD features include an anime photo gallery plus two special
galleries starring Aurora Snow and Brittany Andrews in various
erotic poses.
I have one itty bitty question though: Can anyone tell me
why this is called My Life As
A Chicken? I thought
it was going to be something bestial. Thank goodness it wasn't!
Oh and...if you're wondering, no, the girls don't make Yasunari
dress up as a chicken.

Do you know where your kids are?
When I saw this, I immediately thought "Countdown To
Delight" all over again. But this time the main protagonist
wasn't running away screaming his lungs off. Yasunari is somewhat
of a "pet dog" for the two college girls, Fumi and
Rina. This show should be called, "My Life As A Dog."
Or had that title already been taken?
But all's not well and happy in this part of hentai-land.
The buzzword here is "broken home." And our male
lead states that he'd rather brave hobokan-ism, and later
on two sadists, than a brutal father that the audience thankfully
never gets to meet. However... We do Tomoyasu, Yasunari's
brother who happened to find the magazine that he was in.
The brothers meet each other in an embarrassing predicament;
poor Tomo gets ticked before storming away, and takes his
anger out at his tutor Serina.
This is a Wide Road, Five Ways production. So don't expect
any master grade type of work. The art is bad, but it's watchable.
The background music on NuTech's DVD varies between the Japanese
version and the English version. Voices are familiar, yet
they deserve credit. Extra credit goes to Aurora Snow for
sounding like she's hurling.
